I have a bad case of writer’s block.

It all started last week when I finished writing for the week ahead of schedule (yay!), excited that I could give myself a break and really take in my surroundings, aka my family and friends. I had plans to sit down over the weekend and knock out a few more posts, getting myself ahead yet again. But that didn’t happen. Instead my husband and I took advantage of a rare weekend of him at home and packed up the car and our son, heading to Chattanooga to hang with friends and do some family activities. Don’t hear my wrong…it was exactly what we needed for ourselves. We needed the time disconnected from the chaos of our lives in Nashville, so that we could hang out just the 3 of us.

But I came home with my mind a complete blank. Chalk it up to a super relaxing and awesome weekend that ended too soon, or maybe just not wanting to admit that the week was starting, but I have nothing. So, in an attempt to shake off the dust and get back in the groove, I sat down to write.

I started and deleted at least half a dozen posts. All started out with gusto, only to peter out quickly, going nowhere.

I was blocked.

I was getting nowhere.

How in the world was I going to get rid of writer’s block!?

This is how I figured I could break the wall, or at least make it a couple bricks shorter. I would just write about it. I would take a moment and be honest with you fine folks about the fact that I’m human and not a content generator.

In case you weren’t in the loop, my life is in major transition right now. There is tons going on. We have sold our house and move out in 3 weeks. We are renovating our new house in East Nashville (haven’t started exactly, but that’s a whole different, anxiety-laden post for later). We celebrate our little guy’s first birthday, all family included, in 2 weeks. We will be “homeless” for at least 2 months, mostly traveling and doing shows as a family. Needless to say, I’ve got a few things on my mind.

So pardon the dust…I’m working it out. I am hoping that writing this will help me move forward and write a little more clearly. But in the meantime, here are a few photos from this past weekend’s shenanigans in Chattanooga.
