I’m about to be an aunt for the first time, and I can hardly contain myself.

{{Insert small break where I freak out from excitement}}

About 25ish weeks ago, my sweet sister-in-law, Heylee, made the announcement that she was pregnant for the first time. I’m pretty sure that I jumped up and down and peed myself a little (I was pregnant at the time myself), and immediately told her that I wanted to throw her a baby shower. I guarantee you that having a shower was the farthest thing in her mind as she said “Sure!” I, being the energetic overachiever, jumped head first at that moment into planning. I set up a Pinterest board that I invited her to and got to pinning everything that I thought would be killer for her shower.

Fast forward several months later, and on February 6th, everything on those Pinterest boards came into existence. I had lots of help fromĀ her sisters-in-law to pull this off, (insert all the praise hands) and I once again hired my favorite photog, Jess Gann from Blue Vinyl Photography to capture it all. (Nashville peeps…USE THIS GIRL FOR EVERYTHING!)

Before you take a look at the photos and see just how stunning Heylee is as a momma, I want to say a little something.

Heylee, you are stunning. You are full of grace and you radiate joy from every part of you. Watching you walk through this pregnancy has been amazing and I can’t wait to see you hold your little darling soon. You are strong, capable, and will no-doubt lavish love on your baby. Soak up these last weeks of it being just you and Jake, and relish in the fact that at the end, you will know a love like no other.

Jake, there is nothing like watching men become fathers. It changes everything. Especially fathers to little girls. There’s something extra special about that. Be confident and strong when you hold your little girl…that trait in men will be imprinted forever on her.

Harper, I cannot wait to meet you! You have been carried by the best of them and will be brought into this world surrounded by love, beauty, and some amazing (and tough) women. Never doubt the love of those around you, running wild and free as your life unfolds. Remember that you are strong, capable, and beautiful and that Jesus loves you.

Now, let’s start with the food…lots and lots of food! We did a soup bar, had some hot ham and cheese, and noshed on Five Daughters Bakery donuts.

There were little photos from their maternity shoot that Jess took at her farm and I had printed at Square Snaps. I had their invitations printed at Fine and Dandy Paperie (seriously amazing), and also had some “Wishes For Baby” letterpress cards printed from Half Pint InkĀ . Just a little something for both Heylee and Jake as well as Harper.

And then there was the flower crown made by her sister-in-law, Joanne.

{{All the swooning over this beauty!}}

Who doesn’t love gifts, especially for a baby!?

And last, but certainly not least, there were the friends and family…and overflow of love for Heylee, Jake, and Harper.
